Eliza is intuitive, grounded, and precise in her work with women. She has spent the last 15 years dedicated to somatics and embodiment, exploring life with depth, enthusiasm, and keen observation.
Her bodywork practice is informed by her work in therapeutic Pilates, professional dance, and one-on-one somatic facilitation. These practices have gifted her with a refined sensitivity of presence and touch.
Eliza was led to Womb Continuum through her desire to live a sensual, vibrant, healthy life — from menstruation to pregnancy to menopause and beyond. Having experienced her own menstrual and digestive imbalances, she also wanted to offer more to her Pilates clients who were commonly experiencing abdominal and pelvic dysfunction.
She passionately believes that a woman in her body is a woman in her power, and has seen firsthand that working with a woman's belly and pelvis puts her squarely in contact with the seat of her power, and invites her into deeper regulation, vitality, and an embodied relationship with her own life.
Eliza is currently studying under her teachers and mentors Carly Rae Beaudry and Andrea Terrones in Ma School, one of the most comprehensive women's manual therapy programs for female abdominal, pelvic, and holistic health.
In her work in Pilates, Eliza teaches through the lens of:
Breathing mechanics: Rib and spinal mobility and diaphragmatic breathing (including the pelvic and respiratory diaphragms)
Healthy postural mechanics: Ribcage and pelvic alignment, mobility, and positioning, as well as foot mobility and strength
Dynamic core strength: A core that can breathe, move, and support the spine and pelvis
She brings these elements into her Womb Continuum Care practice with the women she serves, sometimes taking time at the end of a session for postural, breath, or core re-education.
